Special TANZANIA Excursions
Tanzania is one of the great safari destinations of Africa and the northern tier of the country is especially well-endowed. Perhaps nowhere else in Africa are so many diverse parks located in such close proximity to each other and to significant international airline connections. Although the following trips have been created with the volunteers from Adventure Aid to Sanya Juu in mind, they can easily stand alone or in combination with each other as destinations available to the general public.
The town of Sanya Juu is located on the fertile, volcanic slopes on the western side of Mt Kilimanjaro. Sanya Juu is ideally located for excursions throughout Tanzania's northern frontier. Not only is there hiking and climbing on Kilimanjaro, but there is also Mt Meru in Arusha National Park and beyond Arusha town lie several of the world's greatest game parks including Tarangire National Park, Lake Manyara National Park, Ngorongoro Conservation Area and Serengeti National Park, all within a day's drive. Ibex has collaborated with a couple reliable regional operators to bring you the best of either reasonably-price lodge accommodations or a less expensive camping option for most trips. Ibex also has available a luxury tented camp located on the elephant migration route in northern Siha.
